Abstract / Description of output
Self-efficacy is a significant predictor of many behaviors, particularly when it is domain-specific as opposed to general. The authors distinguish leader efficacy from leader developmental efficacy, and discuss the implications of both for engagement and success in leader development across early and middle years of the lifespan. Implications for goal setting and motivation are considered. The assessment and development of leader efficacy and leader developmental efficacy, as well as implications and applications for understanding leader development before,
during, and after college are discussed.
