Abstract / Description of output

Lost in Translation is a postcolonial investigation of Caver’s colonial past
by re-visiting his portrait of tea pluckers project (Assam: the Language of Tea) in the context of the archive’s of Tea Planters’ families from North East India. In doing so, Cavers examines the synergies, antimonies and points of rupture between the personal of the colonial and the vision of the postcolonial.
