Abstract
This article covers some of the models of care utilized in general practice or the primary care setting, and the process of management of patients with asthma in this setting. General principles are used to illustrate the types of problems and solutions for managing patients in this-challenging setting. The reader is advised to refer to more detailed texts, including national and international guidelines, for further information.
