Abstract / Description of output

This chapter introduces some of the central assumptions of postdigital thinking, discussing theoretical concepts and ideas that underpin and/or connect to the notion of postdigital learning spaces. In so doing, the chapter highlights relations between humans, digital and materials in learning entanglements, whilst recognizing the materialities of the digital, and the mobilities and temporalities inherently connected to postdigital learning spaces. Key ideas are explored through photographs of writing spaces, which were generated by the contributing authors in this collection. In taking a situated approach to writing, the chapter provides an accessible introduction to postdigital thinking, while at the same time tapping into the importance of visual data within learning spaces research.
