Abstract
Examines the lithographs and woodblock prints by Maurice Busset issued in the folio entitled 'Paris bombardé' in 1919, which concerns the heaviest bombardment of Paris by German aircraft in 1918. It discusses how Busset created modern print images in part by referencing other new image-making technologies, particularly autochrome photography that had just been invented prior to the war, as part of his quest to memorialize the heroism of the French people and airmen who risked their lives during the conflict.
