Abstract / Description of output

'Melmoth the Wanderer' is Nicola McCartney's adaptation of Charles Maturin's 1820 Gothic novel. Melmoth sells his soul to the devil in exchange for 150 years more on earth. In return he has to lure new victims over to the side of evil. In this version, Nicola McCartney takes five different stories from the novel and uses black humour and bizarre encounters to depict the dark side of the humanity.
