Abstract / Description of output

Drug Induced Liver Injury (DILI) has a high incidence rate across the globe, particularly in mainland China where its estimated incidence in the general population can reach over 23 cases per 100,000. MicroRNA-122 (miR-122) has been proposed as a sensitive DILI marker although no commercial applications are available yet. Here we report a novel platform combining a microfluidic cartridge extraction and Electro-Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS), and demonstrate a proof-of-concept point-of-care diagnostic test of DILI on clinical patient samples.
