Abstract
We describe, and report the outcomes of, two distinct work streams that are linked by their use of holographic projection techniques and spatial light modulators. In the first (3-D image capture) a direct Time-of-Flight 3-D imaging system uses holographic projection to optimise the illumination of a scene; in the second, a spatially interleaved holographic pattern can produce a dynamic image under program control.
