Abstract / Description of output

Inspired by regional vernacular landscape typologies (such as the Clos-Masure, the bocage and the pré-verger), No Man is an Island is a proposal for an inhabited productive archipelago in the Vallée de la Touques (Normandie, France).

This multi-scalar project was developed across two competitions inviting designers to rethink this piece of landscape in the context of climate change and rising sea levels : “On se jette à l’eau” call for ideas launched by the CAUE Calvados (for which this project won the Innovation Award), and the AMITER national ideas competition launched by the French Government.
