Abstract / Description of output

In Chapter 5, Morton and Bradley widen the view on non-pharmaceutical interventions in rural areas by considering how those dwelling within rural landscapes and communities (rather than visiting them in order to consume rurality) interact with non-pharmaceutical interventions. They do so by considering two case studies from rural Scotland – a nature on prescription programme and an outdoor cycling programme. The case studies are used in order to illustrate and discuss how services can utilise natural capital in rural areas but also issues relating to accessibility, challenges, successes, costs, benefits, and barriers.
