Abstract / Description of output
The first observation of exotic states with a new quark content πβ’Β―πβ’π’β’Β―π decaying to the π½/πβ’πΎ+ final state is reported with high significance from an amplitude analysis of the π΅+βπ½/πβ’πβ’πΎ+ decay. The analysis is carried out using proton-proton collision data corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9ββfbβ1 collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. The most significant state, ππβ’π β’(4000)+, has a mass of 4003Β±6+4β14ββMeV, a width of 131Β±15Β±26ββMeV, and spin parity π½π=1+, where the quoted uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. A new 1+ββπβ‘(4685) state decaying to the π½/πβ’π final state is also observed with high significance. In addition, the four previously reported π½/πβ’π states are confirmed and two more exotic states, ππβ’π β’(4220)+ and πβ‘(4630), are observed with significance exceeding 5 standard deviations.
