Abstract
Natural sciences, in particular Physics and Astrophysics, are organised around the core premise of trying to identify, characterise and interlink our understandings of the “laws of nature”. These laws can perhaps best be described as defined permanent links between past, present and future states of matter. Imagine the intermesh of these established links as a kind of map, plotting out a landscape of how our Universe works, even though we can never really see the hills and rivers and seas that scientists try to describe. This scientific topography of our experience of the world is an attempt to abstractly represent the restrictions placed on us by physical reality.
