Abstract

The homochiral form of the complex [('P,N')(2)Ni](2+) ('P,N' is a phosphino-heteroatom bidentate ligand) has been found to be more stable than its heterochiral analogue due to a 'fitting' of the two 'P,N' ligands about the Ni that is reminiscent of an 'intramolecular embrace'.
