Abstract / Description of output

Pine’s Eye was a live performance event launching The 5th International Conference on Transdisciplinary Imaging at the Intersections of Art, Science and Culture. It followed the story of Pinocchio to chart a creative journey through subjects including latent imagery, anthropomorphism, miracles and morality. Set within the exhibitions of David Claerbout and Rachel Maclean at Talbot Rice Gallery, this interdisciplinary evening event brings together performance artists, poets and academics to offer a provocative series of digressions related to contemporary image-making practice. From the boy hidden within the block of wood to the wild debauchery of the Land of Boobies, Pine’s Eye invites you to share this story of radical self-transformation.
