Abstract
PixiDust explores opportunities for integrated audiovisual performance through hybrid analogue/digital video synthesis. Images were encoded to an audio stream pixel by pixel in a progressive scan using the cross platform PixiVisor (PV) application in Transmitter mode, and were subsequently processed in the analogue domain before summing to a digital audio-video conversion in PV’s Receiver mode. The analogue processing creates a series of transformations and distortions and image mixing can also be accomplished.
