Martin Parker (Performer)

Research output: Non-textual formPerformance

Abstract / Description of output

Premiere performance of playroom at Inspace, 1 Crichton Street, Edinburgh. This performance involved 26 individual channels and nearly 20 loudspeakers. Its source material was derived from live sound input from glass jars and bottles and the manipulation of various sound sources gathered to create a structure that began with simple conversational gestures and expanded into a large-scale, room filling rant. At its heart, this performance used sounds from Bill Hicks' 1992 performance at the Oxford Playhouse.
