Research output: Non-textual formExhibition

Abstract

A critique of the way Google monetises the words we put through the search engine, {poem}.py uses poetry and code to explore the tension between the economic and the poetic value of words in an age of digital capitalism. The project prints receipts for poems that have been monetised by Google’s advertising systems, and has been shown in various venues in the UK, America and throughout Europe.
