Abstract
POLARCAP (Liz Adamson, Graeme Todd) participated as speakers at ASK [ Arts Strategies and Knowledge] conference at the Brunton Theatre in Musselburgh [ conference on ways for artists to progress their working practices] in October 2008. The conference used Eskimo as a focus visit including a further curators talk and was attended by approx 200 delegates.
Conference to promote discussion and debate with keynote speakers and breakout sessions on the following themes: Funding and support. Opportunities and professional development pathways. The role of galleries, commissioning agencies, artist led groups and artists’ forums. The International perspective. Engaging with community arts practice. Organised and hosted by East Lothian Council in association with East Lothian Artists Forum and supported by the Scottish Arts Council.
