Abstract

In this paper an algorithm has been proposed to identify different objects in a real time video and to mark the paths of different objects individually. In this algorithm the process starts from identifying objects using background subtraction of frames taken from the video at a certain time interval and then finds the changes in their respective positions in successive frames so that their individual paths can be accurately tracked and their motion can be identified separately. Such tracking system is very useful in various crime prone areas such as banks, departmental stores or museums to detect the exact path of the moving objects.
