Abstract / Description of output

Digital DisplacementTM is an innovative technology for hydraulic machines. It offers a high level of control and high efficiency, even at part load. The key features of this technology are presented and its advantages over conventional hydraulic are quantified. The suitability of Digital DisplacementTM for wave energy conversion is then investigated and the ongoing project of implementing Digital DisplacementTM technology to the Pelamis wave energy converter in collaboration with Ocean Power Delivery Ltd is presented.
