Abstract / Description of output

EXHAUSTIVE INFERENCEs (ExhInf) of question answers have been a locus of much discussion in the semantics and pragmatics of interrogatives and scalar implicature (e.g., Groenendijk and Stokhof 1984; Sauerland 2004; Schulz and van Rooij 2006; Spector 2007). Despite the abundance of literature on the topic, however, one particular aspect of ExhInfs has attracted relatively less attention.
