Abstract
Values of the cross sections for direct break-up of Li projectiles at forward scattering angles have been determined for 50, 60 and 70 MeV projectile energies and for Zr, Sn and Pb targets. The results for Zr and Sn targets are in reasonable agreement with the predictions of a model that assumes the target-projectile Coulomb interaction is responsible for direct break-up. Results for Pb show significant deviations from this model.
