Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract / Description of output

In this section we reflect on the findings of our distant reading of the media articles. We look at the ways in which narratives swept across the world, how language changed and responded to the impact of the pandemic. We explore the cultural foundations on which the narratives were built and we examine how the language shows how we started to look to the future beyond the pandemic. This section complements the four podcasts made by the researchers in 2020. The podcasts are available as a free resource on the Language Acts Library (languageactslibrary.jmlanguages.com).
