Abstract

‘Sankofa’ was originally part of a design project submitted to the international design competition launched by the National Museums of Liverpool (NML), which aimed to develop a master plan to transform and animate Liverpool’s historic waterfront. As competition finalists, CAVA in a team led by Dr Hamid Khalili and Prof. Richard Koeck worked on a range of bespoke proposals for this unique site, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary from BIG Architects (BIG-Bjarke Ingels Group), Futurecity London and Jayden Ali Architects.
