Abstract

'Schíma–morphḗ–íchos' is a reactive installation-performance-piece that combines visual, physical and sonic elements. There are nine sculptural objects. Each one is capable of changing the audible ecosystem in which the others are heard. The sculptures communicate different spatial and material states and reveal sounds that were made as the sculptures were crafted in the workshop. Interaction is driven by the object's shape, texture, weight and kinetic potential. Playfulness is at the heart of this project and audiences and performers enjoy the unexpected and surprising response of this audible-physical environment.
