Abstract

The development of a national academic SDI has served to benefit users for over 15 years. The impact of EDINArsquo;s work is far-reaching and has been built on an enviable reputation for innovation and the adoption of largely open geospatial technologies and standards. Whilst primarily focussed on the academic sector, EDINA supports external partners, such as UK government. Many activities are exemplar models for wider applications elsewhere.
