Self-report delinquency surveys in Britain and Ireland

Abstract

This chapter presents evidence on the existing research from Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) and Ireland on self-report delinquency (SRD) surveys, and contributes to Work Package 7 of the European Commission funded framework on Assessing Deviance, Crime and prevention in Europe. Key aims of the chapter are to summarise the main features of the research from these four jurisdictions and to highlight issues of good practice and methodological excellence.
