Abstract / Description of output
In summer 2012, the education charity Windrush Foundation was awarded a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to develop and launch a heritage education project. This article turns the spotlight on the resulting exhibition: Making Freedom: Riots, rebellions and revolutions, which commemorated 175 years since emancipation from enslavement on 1 August 1838 for Africans in the Anglophone Caribbean.
