Study of charmonium decays to š¾0 Sā¢š¾ā¢šœ‹ in the šµā†’(š¾0 Sā¢š¾ā¢šœ‹)ā¢š¾ channels

Abstract / Description of output

A study of the šµ+ā†’š¾0Sā¢š¾+ā¢š¾āˆ’ā¢šœ‹+ and šµ+ā†’š¾0Sā¢š¾+ā¢š¾+ā¢šœ‹āˆ’ decays is performed using proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 TeV at the LHCb experiment. The š¾0
Sā¢š¾ā¢šœ‹ invariant mass spectra from both decay modes reveal a rich content of charmonium resonances. New precise measurements of the šœ‚š‘ and šœ‚š‘ā”(2ā¢š‘†) resonance parameters are performed and branching fraction measurements are obtained for šµ+ decays to šœ‚š‘, š½/šœ“, šœ‚š‘ā”(2ā¢š‘†) and šœ’š‘ā¢1 resonances. In particular, the first observation and branching fraction measurement of šµ+ā†’šœ’š‘ā¢0ā¢š¾0ā¢šœ‹+ is reported as well as first measurements of the šµ+ā†’š¾0ā¢š¾+ā¢š¾āˆ’ā¢šœ‹+ and šµ+ā†’š¾0ā¢š¾+ā¢š¾+ā¢šœ‹āˆ’ branching fractions. Dalitz plot analyses of šœ‚š‘ā†’š¾0
Sā¢š¾ā¢šœ‹ and šœ‚š‘ā”(2ā¢š‘†)ā†’š¾0Sā¢š¾ā¢šœ‹ decays are performed. A new measurement of the amplitude and phase of the š¾ā¢šœ‹ š‘†-wave as functions of the š¾ā¢šœ‹ mass is performed, together with measurements of the š¾*0ā”(1430), š¾*0ā”(1950) and š‘Ž0ā”(1700) parameters. Finally, the branching fractions of šœ’š‘ā¢1 decays to š¾* resonances are also measured.
