Abstract

The chapter discusses privacy impact assessment, broadening the frame of reference to include wider objects of impact beyond that of individual privacy. Diagrams are used to show a progression towards the full comprehension of the social impacts that should be taken into consideration in assessing the impacts of surveillance.
