Abstract

The synthesis, structure and magnetic properties of [Mn13O8(OEt)(6)(O2CC6H4OPh)(12)] are reported as the first example of a high nuclearity manganese complex with 2-phenoxybenzoate: the complex possesses S-6 symmetry and an S = 11/2 ground state.
