Abstract

The installation by Aurélien Froment Optical Theatre - photo Zucca brings together and for the very first time Pierre Zucca’s different image practices. It includes his film set photography (1963—1974), aspects of his filmmaking (1974—1985), and his collaboration with artist and writer Pierre Klossowski (The Living Currency, 1970). The exhibition takes us on a journey crossing between different spaces of representation, from the cinema window to the book, and from the film set to the screen. Consisting of previously unpublished photographs, new and unseen documents, the exhibition examines “the double-nature of images”, as both evidence and works of the imagination.
