Abstract

The first isolable example of a molecular scandium(II) complex, the dark purple scandocene [Sc(eta(5)-P2C3Bu3t)] 1, has been isolated from the cocondensation of scandium vapour with tert-butylphosphaalkyne, (BuCP)-C-t at 77 K.
