Abstract / Description of output
A group exhibition of staff and selected alumni from the Jewellery & Silversmithing Department at ECA.
From visiting Korea in 2008 I continue to use gathered visual research and extend this into my practise using metal and textiles and how in different ways and methods these two very different materials can be brought together. A new group of jewellery was researched and made that explored roll-printed silver sheet with textile fabrics. New methods of connecting traditional Korean braids were tested out and selected that best suited jewellery to be worn on the body. This new body of research extends on from previous outputs such as Drawing, Permanence & Place, Creation ll and Drawing with Objects.
Selected participants:
Heather Woof
Jenny Laidlaw
Kirsty Summerling
Linda Johnston
Mari Ebbitt
Morag Summerling
Rhona mc Callum
Stacey Bentley
Stephen Bottomley
