Abstract / Description of output

As an integral part of the international symposium "Postcards from the Anthropocene: Unsettling the Geopolitics of Representation" (University of Edinburgh, 2017, www.postcardsfromtheanthropocene.com), the public exhibition "The Other Side" showcased a curated display of more than 80 visual artworks, including scholars (some of which with significant international reputations), artists, practitioners, designers, and students. It stemmed from a trans-disciplinary approach to the Anthropocene debate and how it impacts modes of representation in arts and humanities.
The exhibition was held at ESALA, during the duration of the symposium (22—24 June 2017), and was curated by Tiago Torres-Campos and Benek Cincik. The international symposium plus the parallel exhibition were extremely well received, not only by the participants themselves but by a wider audience who attended the event (150 people, including academics, artists, practitioners, philosophers, political scientists, UG and PG students, etc.).
