The Story of the Fallen Cone

Research output: Non-textual formArtefact

Abstract / Description of output

I have been exploring printmaking methods, specifically looking into dry-point etching and expanding on how to create colour and tone within this method.
I further explored creating line and tone with dry point etching by how I work with the ink on the plates. This research resulted in a new collection of eight prints, based on a short story which is in development as a picture book for children. I was supported through a mentoring process with internationally published author and illustrator Debi Gliori and the outcome is a collection of eight new prints for exhibition. This collection of art works have been exhibited at the National Gallery of Modern Art One Edinburgh as part of the Picture Hooks Illustration exhibition from October 28th 2017 to February 18th 2018, and will be going on to feature a various venues around the UK.
