Abstract / Description of output

A group show exploring collaboration and equality.

We can travel in several different ways and levels. A trip can last for few days, a tour can take place for weeks and a journey to yourself can be life-long. Common thing is the process -conscious or not. Another conjunctive matter is the feeling of exploring and finding. One might get lost at some point - that’s also a part of the travelling process . NOA NORDIC OUTSIDER ART NETWORK

Collaboration is only achieved when all the participants respect each other and through a process of idea and skill exchange and enter into an alliance created by mutual trust through shared experience. True equality means not being able to define between the artists whether insiders / outsiders / trained or otherwise.

Mike Inglis, Max Avasoo and a small group of INUTI artists will collaborate in the construction of a series of mixed media installations / structures. The structures are planned to be mobile and placed or pulled through the streets around the INUTI gallery. The artwork, although important to us, is secondary to the experience of working together as equals in a dynamic collaboration where we share ideas, working methods and techniques. We intend to learn from each other, form friendships and and most importantly enjoy the creative journey in the company of fellow artists. We are the birds, you are the ornatholagists.
