Abstract

Two new triterpenoids, lawsowaseem and lawsoshamim, have been isolated from Lawsonia inermis and their structures established as 3beta-hydroxy-24-p-E-coumaroyloxy-olean-12-en-28-oic acid, and 2-acetoxy-30-hydroxy-olean-12-en-28-oic acid on the basis of spectral evidences, particularly 2D NMR studies.
