"The nineteenth-century American artist William Morris Hunt describes the margins as 'the best part of all books', saying that a blank margin has 'the soothing influence of a clear sky in a landscape'. The association between the borders of the page and the land is especially apposite in Doverodde, a place separated from the mainland by the waters of the Limfjord."
