Abstract
Umwelt is an art film created by Ioannis Panagiotou. This audiovisual work explores lost war memories of the artist’s family and sociocultural ghosts of the past, through the use of sound, video, performance art and verbal history. For this work, Ioannis collaborated with multiple musicians and music ensembles including the Edinburgh Film Music Orchestra, Plus Minus Ensemble, Red Note Ensemble, Danguale Lingyte and the architect Dorothea Kalogianni. The film will be presented in concert on an octophonic sound system.
