Abstract
This is a self-study book which introduces you to one particular approach to monitoring the spoken language of deaf children. Through worked examples you will be able to collect child utterances and classify the grammatical development at clause, phrase and word level. Worked examples of spoken language of a hearing child and a deaf child are provided. The example of the deaf child's language development adopts a translanguaging approach.
