    Abstract / Description of output

This webpage is a digital scrapbook that shares stories, reflections and doings from our participation in the Geography Small Research Project. The course involved a series of guided walks in Edinburgh to provide experiences of fieldwork as an alternative to human geography field courses. In the scrapbook we reflect on designing, making and using walking guides. We share some of the tactics, devices and practices that we used to shape in asynchronous encounters with places in Edinburgh. Some of the stories highlight the experimentation and tinkering that went on as we developed ways of sharing learning with materials with students. Other stories provide students’ perspectives as they followed guides, did walks and work through assessment briefs.
