Abstract

This event will include a talk on the history of the African American “struggle for liberty” in Scotland by tracing the transatlantic tours of Ida B. Wells-Barnett, Josiah Henson, Sarah Parker Remond, and Frederick Douglass. There will also be a screening of the 2O-minute documentary, Strike for Freedom: Frederick Douglass in Scotland.
