Expert panel discussion as part of a UKCRC/EPSRC workshop focused on rejuvenating the computer science over the next 5-10 years. A key aim of the workshop was to examine technical and societal challenges that computing researchers can address in partnership with EPSRC and key government departments. The panel focused on regulation and how computer scientists can both contribute to and be affected by it. Panel discussions covered ethical and moral issues, regulatory innovations and tensions and the role of credentialing for professionalisation and governance.
