MSc in Clinical Biochemistry (Newcastle University)

PhD "Use of brain-specific proteins in the diagnosis of dementia" (National Hospital for Neurology, London; University College, London)

Creation of an analytical and interpretation diagnostic service for cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) 14-3-3 and other proteins for diagnosis of Creutzfeldt-jakob disease (CJD) within the National CJD Research & Surveillance Unit (NCJDRSU) at University of Edinburgh

Development of protein aggregation assays for the diagnosis of CJD, Lewy body dementia, Parkinson's disease and other neurodegenerative dementias
