Education/Academic qualification

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), The Roslin Institute
Master of Research, University of Glasgow
Bachelor of Science, University of Strathclyde

Current Research Interests

The focus of my research is remyelination in multiple sclerosis, in particular investigating gene expression of microglia and macrophages during myelin repair. As microglia have previously been shown to be important in the repair of myelin, understanding microglial gene expression during remyelination may lead to identification of novel therapeutic targets that can be used to promote efficient remyelination.
