Biography

I am a Consultant Oncologist and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Edinburgh Cancer Centre who specialises in the treatment of prostate and bladder cancer with radiotherapy and chemotherapy.  I have been active throughout my career in cancer clinical trials either as a member of the trial development or management group,  idependent data monitoring commitee or local PI.  I have built up strong translational research interests within the Univeristy of Edinburgh, UK and Europe.  My research involves the identification of biomarkers of normal tissue and tumour response to radiotherapy through the use of cell free DNA, volatile organic compound breath analysis and imaging biomarkers to allow personalisation of treatment.
