Dr. Frank Vollmer is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Agriculture and Rural Development at the School of GeoSciences. His current research focuses on the links between Ecosystem Services and Well-being in miombo woodlands of Mozambique. His previous research assessed donor adherence to the Good Humanitarian Donorship Principles, the international aid & development effectiveness agenda and the political economy of Sub-Saharan Africa with a focus on poverty in Mozambique. Previous to his post at the University of Edinburgh he worked as a research fellow at the German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE), Bonn. Dr. Vollmer received Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in Peace and Development Studies from the University Jaume I, Spain and the University of Limerick, Ireland.
