Research Interests

My research focuses on the definition of algorithms and statistical techniques that I apply in areas such as systems and population biology, multicellular and multi-scale organisms, cancer and evolution.

I am a Research Associate in the Laboratory of Machine Learning for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics run by Guido Sanguinetti at the University of Edinburgh, UK.

In Edinburgh, I am a member of the Institute of Adaptive and Neural Computation, located within the School of Informatics.

Before, I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Milano-Bicocca Bioinformatics and at the National Research Council, Italy.

I have a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Pisa.
