Following completion of an MSc and PhD in the history of medicine at the Manchester Wellcome Trust Unit, I worked for 6 years as a project coordinator and research associate within a scleroderma research programme at the University of Manchester's Centre for Musculoskeletal Research, including a short internship at the Boston University Data Coordinating Center in 2009. In 2013 I moved to Edinburgh to join the Edinburgh Clinical Trials Unit (ECTU) as a trial manager responsible for the coordination of multi-centre clinical trials and epidemiological studies in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI). In addition, I work as a project manager supporting ECTU's health economics research team (https://www.ed.ac.uk/usher/edinburgh-clinical-trials/health-economics).
I also work as a tutor on the University of Edinburgh's MSc in Clinical Trials programme (http://www.ed.ac.uk/schools-departments/molecular-clinical-medicine/clinical-trials)
